Welcome to Trail and Tar's online portal. Trail and Tar is not just another running and cycling store; its a social experience based in Tokai. Our focus is not only to furnish our customer's with  quality trail running, mountain biking and road cycling gear but also to provide a meeting hub for like minded individual's where they can refresh, relax and socialize with our staff.  Our vision is to provide unparalleled service in a friendly and environmentally responsible manner. 

Our location is ideal for mountain bikers and trail runners who make use of Tokai Forest.  Road cyclists can also benefit from our central location with Ou Kaapse Weg, Chapman's Peak and other mountain passes in close proximity which make for great training grounds for the yearly Cape Argus and other events.

Our  bike service station run by an experienced bicycle mechanic will stock only top quality bicycle specific tools. Our workshop area is the focal point in our store as we believe our clients should have full view of our mechanic at work and can engage him with any technical queries they may have.

Our customers will have full  use of the showers, lockers, and bike wash  facilities inside of our store. Sit back and relax on our couch in front of a flat screen television with DSTV or make the use of  our PC terminal and WiFi facilities. Alternatively our loyalty club member's can make use of their voucher's/discount at participating business's while their bike is washed , lubed or serviced
              

Our BG fitment specialist Debbie Stopforth run's her own fitment studio within our store. A fitment technician will optimize your ride so that it fits your unique physiology. A budget bike is just as important to you as the professional on a race machine and working in close conjunction with the fitment specialist we can get you that perfect ride to suit you wallet.

Our two resident physiotherapists, Tarryn Povey and Julia Thomas run a physiotherapy practise in our store. Not only do they strive to help you with any injuries you might have, they also offer great sports massages for those of you that are getting ready for your next race. Whether you have an injury to get over, a niggle you are worried about or just want a great sports rubs, these girls are for you.
